World’s first victory performance by LED drone

Dedicated to the Hanshin Tigers fans with the lyrics of “ROKKO OROSHI(their team song)”displayed by LED drone, the video of the performance is now available!

MPLUSPLUS, a creative group that makes full use of technology in pursuit of new forms of expressions, surprised fans at the victory performance with the world’s first “LED VISION DRONE” performance.

At the moment of celebrating the victory of Hanshin Tigers, a 6.8-meter-long LED VISION soared into the night sky. The LEDs displayed the lyrics of  “ROKKO OROSHI” ,which made the entire stadium filled with a frenzied atmosphere of excitement. MPLUSPLUS is a company known for its creativity and technology, and has previously worked on the opening performance of the WBC. For this time MPLUSPLUS delivered a new way of victory performance with LED drone at the “Ultra Summer 2023’’, an annual important event for Hanshin Tigers fans.

The cloth display of the LED portion unveiled this time measures 2.6 meters wide and 6.8 meters long, incorporating a full-color LED array of 17,280 units. The specifications of the attached LEDs, as well as the wireless LED control devices and batteries, are all designed and manufactured in-house. The LED screen can be customized not only in terms of size and LED pitch but also in shape, allowing for various forms such as humanoid figures or product silhouettes based on specific requests.

dox inc has developed an original drone with a motor diagonal size of 2 meters, a weight of 50 kg, a payload capacity of approximately 100 kg, a flight time of around 10 minutes, and a top speed of 65 km/h.

阪神タイガースの勝利を祝う瞬間、長さ6.8メートルのLEDが夜空に舞い上がりました。LED部分には「六甲おろし」の歌詞が表示され、球場全体が一体となって熱狂の雰囲気に包まれました。エムプラスプラスは、創造力と技術力で知られる会社であり、これまでにもWBCのオープニング演出などを手掛けましたが、今回は毎年行われる阪神タイガースの一大イベントである「ウル虎の夏 2023」で、新しい勝利パフォーマンスを届けました。

ドローンの演出としては数多くのドローンが集まって映像のように見せる演出が知られていますが、この「LED VISION DRONE」は縦6.8メートル、横2.6メートルの布に17,280個のLEDを搭載しドローンに吊り下げるという手法です。　無線LED制御デバイスやバッテリーなども全てエムプラスプラス独自で設計・製作しています。また、ドローンは株式会社ドックスのオリジナルで、モーター対角2m、機体重量50kg、耐荷重約100kg、フライト時間約10分、最高速度65km/hの大型機体を組み立てから行っています。
